About This Car

sold

This 1965 Elva Mk7S, the first of only 15 units built with a BMW engine, initially belonged to a Swiss Elva distributor and competed in European hill climb events. After being imported to the U.S. it passed through several owners, including one who raced it with a Porsche 903 motor (referred to as the Coke bottle Porsche/Elva), then later underwent restoration by Lee Chapman of Lee Chapman Racing. The car participated in numerous vintage races before being purchased by its next owner in Maine, where it continued to race for approximately 10 years, achieving multiple class wins. Acquired by the current owner thereafter, extensive maintenance has been meticulously performed.
